Rocksteady Founders Open New Game Studio

Rocksteady Studios co-founders Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker have reportedly opened a new gaming studio. The initial reporting comes from online postings through a website that lists the former Rocksteady Studios founders' new studio. While no announcement has been made, the studio is called Hundred Star Games.

Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker are best known for founding Rocksteady Studios in 2004, with a headquarters in London, England. The studio's first game was Urban Chaos: Riot Response in 2006 before moving on to the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series. Under Rocksteady's development team, the series generated four unique Arkham titles. Now, the studio is working on the new Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League title, with additional work being conducted by Sumo Digital. However, Hill and Walker left Rocksteady in 2022, two years after the initial announcement of the Suicide Squad game.

While Rocksteady works on launching its Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League title, Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker have established their studio, Hundred Star Games Limited. Polygon reported its findings when it discovered the new studio through Endole, a business intelligence website. Hill and Walker have been listed as directors and business executives. Hundred Star Games was incorporated in February 2023, but no other vital information exists except for a dissolved connection with Stylus Games.

Furthermore, Hundred Star Games was last updated in December 2023 on the Great Place to Work website. It's here that readers can better understand what the studio is about. With a company comprising 25 employees with a plan to have 100 gaming industry developers down the line, Hundred Star Games is a start-up based in East London. According to the company overview, the studio aims to craft «cutting-edge gaming experiences that inspire and captivate players worldwide.»
