A Red Dead Redemption 2 player online has shared their surprise after stumbling upon a great detail about the game's fishing camps, which is easily missed by most players. The fishing in Red Dead Redemption 2 is only a small part of the experience, but it still has its own fun details to discover.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is filled to the brim with a never-ending stream of details for players to find. Over five years since the game's release, new details that add to Red Dead Redemption 2's realism are still being discovered. With an eight-year gap between the original Red Dead Redemption and its sequel, it seems that Rockstar left no stone unturned to ensure that gamers would never run out of content. Even the smallest features, in this case, the fishing camps, seem to feature a level of detail that borders on excessive. This only adds to the appeal — the idea that someone could be thousands of hours into the game, and still be able to have a fresh experience every time they load it up.

Worldly-Donut-5956 on Reddit shared their footage while at a fishing camp in Red Dead Redemption 2. The player has murdered the owner of the camp, and to their surprise, they're actually able to steal their fish by cutting them down from their rack. It's a low blow to kill a man and then steal his fish, but the game even acknowledges this, awarding the player a further loss of honor for the theft on top of the murder.

Interestingly, the fish actually count toward the compendium too, so it's well worth cutting them down for any player wanting to 100 percent Red Dead Redemption 2. According to other players in the thread, the same can be done for hanging pelts, which always arrive in perfect condition when cut down. It really is the little details that really make Red Dead Redemption 2 worth revisiting.
