Popular Fire-Type Pokemon Is Getting a Build-a-Bear

As part of the ongoing Pokemon lineup at Build-a-Bear, the next critter to be turned into a Build-a-Bear plush has been revealed as the Fire-type Pokemon Charizard. The newest Pokemon plush from Build-a-Bear comes as a bundle that includes a jumbo, pre-stuffed doll, and two accessories: a scarf and a hat.

Known as the Flame Pokemon, Charizard has been a mainstay of the franchise since its debut in Pokemon Red and Blue. Featured on the box art of both Pokemon Red and its remake Pokemon FireRed, Charizard is the fully evolved form of Charmander. Though Charizard can be obtained in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it can also be obtained in the real world thanks to Build-a-Bear. As announced by Build-a-Bear, the new Charizard plush doll is now available online for $115. This cost is split between the pre-stuffed Charizard plush at $95 and a $20 accessory batch. The accessories included are a brown aviator hat and a red scarf with a Poke Ball design on it, both of which can be removed and placed on other plush dolls if desired. However, the Charizard plush from Build-a-Bear comes with a few caveats. It is an online exclusive that is not available for store pickup, and it is not available for in-store stuffing due to its online exclusivity.

Plus, the size of the Charizard plush requires some extra packaging and costs for Pokemon fans to consider. Build-a-Bear stated that the Charizard plush comes with a $30 surcharge for Fed-Ex express service, which can go up to $41 for next-day service. The Economy delivery option is also not
