Pokémon TCG: New Night Wanderer Cards Are A Throwback To A Fan-Favorite Region

A new set of cards for the expansion has been revealed, and they are a welcome throwback to one of the franchise’s best regions. is an upcoming Japan-exclusive set that will focus on several creatures from the Land of Kitakami, as it portrays elements of ’s epilogue. Nevertheless, it also contains several Pokémon, trainers, and locations from other locations. It has recently been announced that the set will be partially converted for the release of in the Western market in August.

Because the set has yet to arrive, a few of the cards within it have started being teased and a new showcase of three cards reminisce on a fan-favorite region. As reported by , the expansion will feature the Decidueye evolutionary line. The final form of Rowlet, which evolves from Dartrix, is one of the most beloved Grass-type starters and it hails from one of the most adored regions, Alola. While these cards do not feature any special form of rarity, it shows that still cares about its older regions.

In addition to the methods already available, fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game have an easy new way to obtain rare cards for their collection.

The announcement of the Decidueye evolutionary line cards proves that this is, in fact, a fan-favorite starter. As stated by the user ronflex in the comment section of ’s post, the evolutionary line starting with Rowlet has gained multiple copies and prints in expansions throughout the past few years. In direct contrast, as mentioned by the user, the complete Chesnaught evolutionary line has not been printed since the set, released back in 2015.

Some of the cards in that evolutionary line have appeared in promos, but the complete line has not. Chesnaught appeared more recently with ’s expansion, but it was featured as a Basic Pokémon without its previous forms since it was printed as Chesnaught V.
