Pokemon GO Details Rivals Week Event

Pokemon GO has just revealed new details regarding the game's Rivals Week update releasing in May. The new event will task Pokemon GO players with battling other players as well as engaging in various timed research tasks for extra rewards and special items, with certain Pokemon having increased spawn rates during the event.

Pokemon GO thrives thanks to a community of dedicated fans and continued support from developer Niantic. The game receives new and exciting updates and content rollouts on a consistent basis, always giving players something new to look out for. Players can expect to receive 10 XP from spinning Photo Discs at Pokemon GO Gyms as well as double the Catch Candy. Players will also have greater chances of encountering wild Pokemon like Zangoose, Seviper, Throh, Sawk, Heatmor, and Durant.

This portion of the event will last through Thursday, May 9. All of the following Pokemon will have increased spawn rates and will be available to find and catch in Shiny variants.

Some Pokemon are rarer than others in Pokemon GO, but this new update seems to give players a slightly easier time when it comes to catching pocket monsters, with spawn rates having been increased for a significant number of highly sought-after Pokemon.

The second portion of this update is centered on battles, with GO Battle Weekend taking place between Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5. During this
