Pokemon Fan Designs Incredible Paradox Forms for Gengar, Ho-Oh, and Pikachu
A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player designed incredible Paradox forms for the Pokemon Ho-Oh, Pikachu, and Gengar and shared their efforts on social media. As a result of their handiwork, the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan artist received compliments from their peers for designing Gengar, Ho-Oh, and Pikachu in their style.
Introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Paradox Pokemon quickly became popular with trainers due to their unique designs and different types compared to the creatures they resemble. In Pokemon Scarlet, the Past Paradox Pokemon that appeared in Area Zero had feral features that were comparable to dinosaurs. By contrast, the Future Paradox Pokemon found in Pokemon Violet looked more robotic, with many Electric-type and Steel-type Pokemon in their ranks. Even though the Paradox phenomenon remains a controversial topic among Pokemon fans, some fan artists took it as an opportunity to grant some overlooked Pokemon a new look based on either version.
A Reddit user named HertzBurst shared more of their Paradox Pokemon creations on the r/pokemon subreddit. Known for designing Paradox forms for Pokemon such as the Swords of Justice, HertzBurst shared their Future Paradox form concepts of Pikachu and Gengar. They were given the respective names «Iron Thunder» and «Iron Fright» to line up with the naming convention for Paradox Pokemon found in Pokemon Violet. The Paradox Gengar had the Ghost and Dark types, while the futuristic Pikachu was given the Electric and Fairy types. With pink spikes and teeth that covered its metal body, Iron Fright was designed in the style of an animatronic robot. Iron Thunder was designed as a small drone with a round body, a coil for a neck, and an antenna on its head in place of Pikachu's distinct tail.
However, HertzBurst had one more Pokemon to show off: a Past Paradox version of the Legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh first appeared as the box art Legendary of Pokemon Gold. Dubbed «Flaring Feathers» by the OP, the Past Paradox
