Pokemon Fan Designs Incredible Monster Hunter Version of Rayquaza, Complete With Armor Set

A passionate Pokemon fan has designed an impressive Monster Hunter version of Rayquaza alongside a specially themed armor and weapon set. The Pokemon fan also provided in-depth descriptions of the Legendary Pokemon, armor, and weapons from the perspective of a skilled hunter instead of a Pokemon Trainer.

Dragon/Flying-type Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza debuted in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire as the aptly named «Sky High Pokemon.» Players may battle and catch Rayquaza in the post-game section of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, and the Legendary Pokemon would return in subsequent Pokemon games, including Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, players must first progress through the base version of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and begin their journey in The Indigo Disk in order to reach Rayquaza. Completing Blueberry Quests may yield a Rayquaza Treat as a reward, which is necessary for the Pokemon to finally spawn near the Great Crater of Paldea.

Reddit user and Pokemon fan artist Julian Rahmat recently designed a Monster Hunter version of Rayquaza as a tribute and concept for a crossover. The artist also prepared designs for a complete set of armor and weapons inspired by Rayquaza, with bestiary-like descriptions of the Pokemon. Firstly, the Rayquaza artwork and description explain the Pokemon's full move-set, which is nearly identical to the move-set available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The Pokemon is able to directly damage and incapacitate hunters with its Hurricane ability, which is able to intercept midair attacks. However, skilled hunters have a window to knock Rayquaza down if they strike as the Pokemon gathers energy. Fortunately, this version of Rayquaza doesn't have the powerful Dragon Ascent ability like Pokemon GO's Mega Rayquaza.
