Pokemon Fan Designs Alternate Forms for Three Psychic-Types

The Psychic-types Jynx, Espathra, and Hatterene from Pokemon have been given entirely new unofficial forms by one creative community artist, who has built up quite a reputation thanks to their numerous prior custom creature designs. Though custom Mega Evolution designs have been extremely popular lately following the reveal of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, interesting fanmade designs are always common among the Pokemon community thanks to the many creative fans that contribute to it.

Entirely fanmade Pokemon designs, commonly referred to as «Fakemon,» have been popular for practically as long as the series itself has been around. For many players, the creatures themselves have always been the most vital part of the franchise, so it's really no surprise that rumors of secret Pokemon and fanmade designs started becoming widespread shortly after the original Pokemon Red and Blue games gained popularity. The creation of unofficial designs, and even redesigns of official fan-favorite Pokemon, has become something of a tradition over the decades, and fans have picked up plenty of new inspiration from the regional variant and Paradox concepts that have been introduced in newer Pokemon titles.

A popular artistic fan known online as JJonnie recently shared a few redesigns of the popular Psychic-type Pokemon Jynx, Espathra, and Hatterene. While not particularly presenting regional forms or anything similar, these redesigns nonetheless boast totally different appearances, and even include a few unique attributes not seen in their official counterparts. The first of these designs, Jyth, features Zoroark's signature Illusion ability, which would allow it to disguise itself as a different Pokemon in a player's party. Esparcus, a redesign of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Espathra, comes with the secondary Steel-type along with the Magic Guard ability, and the unusual Hatteralf brings the Misty Surge ability to complement its peculiar design.
