Pokemon Fan Art Gives Staryu a Valentine's Day Makeover

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, aPokemon fan artist created their version of what Staryu would look like if it was themed around the holiday. The Pokemon fan then shared their handiwork on social media, and other fans compared their work to other popular characters that shared similarities to Staryu.

Known as the Star Shape Pokemon, Staryu is a Water-type Pokemon that first appeared in Pokemon Red and Blue. The Water-type Pokemon from Kanto was not given any other major changes, but the OP placed the pink Staryu in front of a dark and starry backdrop to serve as a contrast.

For their work, the OP was given compliments from other Pokemon trainers on the subreddit. While a few users initially compared the Valentine's Day Staryu to characters from other franchises such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Sailor Moon, and Steven Universe,
