PlayStation State Of Play Announced With A Date & Time Surprisingly Soon

Sony has announced its upcoming PlayStation State of Play event, which has long been rumored following a comment by industry insider Jeff Grubb last month. As with many PlayStation Showcases and State of Plays, there should be a strong focus on some of Sony's first-party titles, as well as other high-profile games coming to PlayStation consoles.

A post on the official PlayStation X account confirmed that the 30 minute State of Play broadcast would air on May 30 at 18:00 ET.

With the launch of on PC earlier this month, there's the possibility that Sony could reveal its sequel — which has yet to be announced but has clearly been in the works due to information gathered in job listings for developer Sucker Punch. Alternatively, there are rumors that Insomniac Games could bring more reveals following last year's event, potentially giving a first look at the long-awaited DLC for the game, which leaks have confirmed will involve the Beetle as its villain.
