Fate Trigger: The Novita is a new battle royale game from Saroasis, a Chinese studio made up of developers who worked on mobile versions of games like Call of Duty and Apex Legends, and Tencent. It’s free to play and will be available on PC, consoles, and mobile.

September has been a roller coaster month for PlayStation fans. While Concord was a disappointing flop in August, September brought the lauded launch of Astro Bot and a solid lineup of PS Plus Essential games. We’re still waiting on September’s batch of titles, but that means this weekend is the perfect time to check out any stragglers from August’s PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra catalog drop or PS Plus Essential’s lineup that you have not played yet. That’s what I’m recommending you play this weekend.

Astro Bot is an undeniable win for PlayStation. It’s not just a celebration of the brand and many of the franchises that built it into what it is today, but it’s also a fantastic 3D platformer that uses the PS5 hardware in creative ways. As a Sony-published game spotlighting the history of the company, it’s obviously not on Xbox. In fact, I’ve seen a lot of people lamenting that Xbox does not have a lot of good platformers in the wake of Astro Bot’s well-received launch.
The PlayStation 5 Pro is $700, and that price point is already divisive. It is a high-end console cheaper than most comparable gaming PCs, but it’s still the most expensive console from one of the video game industry’s big three manufacturers. It’ll likely find its audience in tech enthusiasts who crave power, but more casual gamers may find that they have no need to upgrade.
Remnant 2 will get its final paid DLC on September 24, but there’s something to look forward to even if you don’t plan on buying its DLC. On that same day, Gunfire Games and Arc Games will release a free update for Remnant 2 that adds a Boss Rush mode.
