Demonschool, the Persona-like tactical RPG about battling demons while getting a good education, has been delayed into 2025 so developers can add 'more life and liveliness' to the game world

Quite a few PC Gamer folk have been excited for Demonschool since it was announced at the PC Gaming Show in 2022. Rich Stanton said it was «one to keep a disembodied eye on,» Robin Valentine said it has the potential to deliver «the most interesting turn-based combats of 2024,» and Harvey Randall predicted that it could be «another Into the Breach.» That's a lot of enthusiasm! And so it genuinely pains me to have to be the one to tell them (and you) the game has been delayed into early 2025.

Dev studio returns 20 years after it stopped existing to remaster PS1 banger Croc, and it's destroyed my relationship with my colleagues

News I did not expect hit my inbox yesterday when, like a summoned ghost of my '90s childhood, a revived Argonaut Games announced it was remastering PS1-era platformer Croc: Legend of the Gobbos.

A movie adaptation of 1993's Sega fighting game Eternal Champions is on the way, for some reason, so get ready to watch a caveman fight a cyborg kickboxer

While others started with Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, or Tekken, my childhood fighting game obsession was 1993's Eternal Champions. That series didn't quite have the same longevity, as it turned out, but today I am vindicated: They're making an Eternal Champions movie.

The companions of Baldur's Gate 3 have become the new mascots of D&D. Should we be worried about their future now that it's entirely in the hands of Wizards of the Coast?

Larian has confirmed that it won't be making a Baldur's Gate 4, and is done with the series for the foreseeable (even though it did consider doing a sequel). But that doesn't mean it's the end for Shadowheart, Gale, Lae'zel, and the other beloved companions of Baldur's Gate 3. Not by a long shot.

Brother, your world faces exterminatus unless you watch this new Space Marine 2 gameplay footage right now

As a lifelong Warhammer 40,000 fan, I have to confess to being a little underwhelmed by the playable Space Marine 2 demo that dropped this time last year. So I was glad when a yearlong delay was announced last November in order to «properly polish the game».

A new Darksiders game is in development: 'The Four Horsemen will ride again'
