Sims 4 players hate its obtrusive new store button so much that a modder has already removed it

Alongside the new Crystal Creations DLC pack this week, The Sims 4 got a pretty standard game update with bug fixes—but it also brought a new interface icon that caused a bit of an «everyone disliked that» moment in the community. The Sims 4 now has a store icon visible at all times in its main toolbar, which players dislike so unanimously that someone's already made a mod to get rid of it.

A Palworld breeding bug is causing all Cattivas to be born cowards, and other species trait dominance, but a fix is coming in another patch 'within a day or two,' Pocketpair says

The latest Palworld update has spawned another contentious change to the game: a bug to do with breeding Pals that's preventing amateur Pal biologists from perfecting Pal babies. Pocketpair is aware of the new bug, it says, and plans to fix the issue in another patch coming within the next couple of days.

Finally, a farm sim that will let me date hot demons and also collect capybaras

In the era of farmlife sims exploding on PC, new games really have to bring something special to catch my attention. The pitch for Tales of Seikyu includes kissing demon people and yeah, that'll do it for me. Honestly though, just about every part of this upcoming life sim has caught my eye: the animal transformations, the Japanese rural fantasy setting, and ranching capybaras too.

Cozy MMO Palia is threatening players with an increasingly enormous stuffed frog if they keep wishlisting it on Steam

Cozy life and farming sim MMO Palia launched in open beta last year as a free-to-play game with its own launcher on PC (and also on the Nintendo Switch and Epic Store). After a bit of a wait, it's launching on Steam next month too, and to incentivize players to wishlist it there, Singularity 6 has devised a community campaign with a slightly threatening aura: a frog plushie of yet-to-be-determined size.

Minecraft just launched add-ons, which are mods, not to be confused with the previous add-ons that were also mods, and won't replace mods for Minecraft Java

It's no secret that Minecraft's enduring success has been in part thanks to the dedication of its modding community. All this time though, mods have largely been the territory of Minecraft Java, the version of the game available only on PC. As of today, the cross-platform version Minecraft Bedrock has launched «add-ons» through its in-game marketplace which, yes, are essentially also mods, free and paid.

The Sims 4 free update adds vitiligo skin details in continued effort for more inclusive character creation

As part of its continuing efforts to diversify The Sims 4 character creation, Maxis has added new skin details to Create-A-Sim. These patches of depigmented skin are caused by vitiligo, an autoimmune disease that affects an estimated 1% of the US population and 100 million people worldwide. Maxis says that Sims of all ages can have vitiligo with varying amounts of coverage and symmetry on their face, torso, and limbs as part of a free base game update that launched today.

Palworld players uncovered an exploit for capturing bosses and turning them into party members

It turns out that one of the best pals to catch early on in Palworld is actually, somehow, one of its bosses. The first major goal in Palworld is taking your team to challenge the tower bosses and their giant Pals but thanks to an exploit players have found, you can actually just catch those extremely powerful creatures, human pal tamer still astride them and everything. I've managed to reproduce the trick myself, so it's definitely still doable if you too want to perform a corporate takeover on the local tower bosses.
