Amid announcements for the voice cast of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, one voice actor for protagonist Rook says that the role is an «honor and a challenge» that they are «terrified and thrilled» to be taking on. Erika Ishii says they are a long time fan of the Dragon Age series and have been at work on The Veilguard for more than four years now.

Activision has given some explanation as to why fans were noticing more cheaters than normal in Call of Duty recently, saying on the «Call of Duty Updates» X account that its anti-cheat system had an issue which has since been resolved. Players started posting about an increase in cheating after the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 season 5, and its simultaneous launch on Game Pass, on July 24.
A new indie will send you to space to explore new worlds and then plop down little housing developments on them. Space for Sale is a humorous take on the survival crafting base builder from developer Mirage Game Studios. Your job is to explore and develop little worlds, either solo or in two-player cooperative mode, by figuring out where the resources are, what's the best home site to work on, and which of the locals are dangerous.
Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford says that Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, the fantasy-themed spinoff from the Borderlands series, was «wildly successful» and that it's reasonable for fans to expect more from the series in the future. Pitchford's comments echo what he said around the launch of Wonderlands, when he said that Gearbox may well have «a new franchise» in the fantasy series.
World of Goo 2 will release later this week on August 2, and to celebrate the developers have released a new trailer showing off a bit more than we saw when they revealed it last fall. One of the early great digital distribution indies—and still fun today—World of Goo has players snatch up little weird goop balls and attach them into increasingly unwieldy constructions in order to get said little goop buddies to the end of each level on their journey through an increasingly absurd and equally unwieldy plot.
Indie studio The Behemoth has announced a slate of updates and releases for its older games. The 20-some-year old development team will revisit its games Castle Crashers and Battleblock theater in particular. Castle Crashers will get a new DLC and a visual revamp. Battleblock Theater will get a nebulously-named «Quality of Life Update» which I think we can safely assume will include some quality of life updates for the now decade-old game.
