Someone just discovered that Balatro's 'Misprint' joker has been sending us secret messages this whole time

Misprint is sort of an average joker in Balatro. The card, which looks like it got badly streaked coming out of the color printer, offers a random multiplier between 0 and 23, which averages out at 11.5. That's not a bad mult in the early game, but I rarely buy Misprint anymore, and when I do, I usually don't hang onto it for very long. There are far better jokers out there.

Survival game Nightingale is making big changes after the developers looked at games like Palworld and Enshrouded: 'It was really the structure that stood out'

Some big changes are coming to co-op survival game Nightingale this week. The Realms Rebuilt update planned for September 12 will add new weapons, spells, dungeons, and bosses. It'll also expand build limits on player bases, overhaul the progression system, and even add cats (in hats).

Once Human dev says some recent player feedback 'has been quite demoralizing'

We had a fine time with free-to-play survival MMO Once Human: our review described the PvPvE open world shooter as deep and «surprisingly sticky.» We're not alone in liking it, either: Steam review scores are «mostly positive» and two months after its July launch there's still over 100,000 concurrent daily players. Sounds like a well-received hit to me.

No Man's Sky finally delivers the perfect reason to explore a few trillion planets: to go fishing

It seems impossible to comprehend now, but in 1969 three government employees climbed into a rocket and blasted themselves to the moon—even though there were no fish there. They bounced around, they drove a buggy, they picked up rocks, but the journey was ultimately pointless because there were no space ponds and no moon fish to catch. Why do you think we stopped going?

In survival MMO Dune: Awakening players can 'see just a little bit into the future' once they get 'saturated with spice'

In survival MMO Dune: Awakening, the spice you harvest on Arrakis will play a huge role in crafting, the economy, and even the base taxes you pay to the emperor. But the famously expensive space drug can also muck with your mind, and while it doesn't sound like it'll transform you into a weird gross slug monster (like the guild navigators in Dune), it will still have an impact on your character when you're exposed to it.

Build an empire that will last for thousands of years in strategy city builder Memoriapolis

In most city builders I usually wind up feeling like an urban planner or a mayor. In Memoriapolis, which launched into early access on Steam today, I feel more like a god-emperor because the city I'm managing isn't just going to grow and expand for a few years or decades or even centuries, but for millenia.
