In this satirical city builder, your goal is to convert walkable cities into parking lots and use propaganda to convince everyone it's what they want

Traffic is a huge component of just about every city builder. Heck, even in medieval city builders you need a good road system so your citizens can quickly and efficiently get around, even if they're leading oxen instead of driving cars. But in Car Park Capital, you've got more to think about than just the living, breathing human beings who live in your city—you've also got to keep the eternally ravenous automotive industry happy. That means building parking lots. Lots and lots of lots.

This Skyrim mod makes tableware so gloriously beautiful I can't stop staring at it

In all my hours of Skyrim I'm not sure I've ever really sat down at a table for a meal. I usually eat on the go—while running around, riding a horse, or in the middle of the battle with a dragon. What better time to scarf down an entire wheel of cheese then when you're about to be turned to cinders by an ancient flying lizard, right?

Frostpunk 2 delayed because its developers want to add features 'you deserve to see in-game on day one, not in a patch added after the release'

Back in April, 11 Bit Studios gave players who preordered the deluxe edition of Frostpunk 2 a little slice of the survival city builder to chew on. The week-long beta covered 300 in-game weeks of sandbox mode, and the reaction from players was generally positive, but they weren't over the moon about it either—not the sort of excitement you'd expect from the sequel to a beloved and highly influential city builder.

Howdy, partner! Holster that six-shooter and belly up to the bar for a spell, I've got some news for a cowpoke like you. If you love horse-drawn wagons, shootouts with bandits, and dusty little frontier towns, you might want to lasso this new game and drive it into your corral (that's Old West talk for «add it to your Steam wishlist.»)

This twin-stick shooter is a Desert Strike throwback except your helicopter talks, drinks blood, and defends the world from a lizard-man invasion

My first PC game was a helicopter game. In fact, it was the helicopter game: 1982's Choplifter, which came with the Apple IIe computer my dad bought from Radio Shack. I played it until my thumb was sore from pushing the joystick button: bombing tanks and barracks on the ground, dodging jets in the sky, and rescuing the little hostages frantically waving for help. All these years later I still keep my eyes peeled for any new helicopter games with a bit of that ol' arcadey Choplifter spirit in them.

Like karaoke, escape rooms, and showering, some things are just more fun with friends. Same goes with games: solving puzzles and overcoming obstacles can turn beating a game into a true collaboration, and that's a feeling you just can't get when playing solo.
