Upcoming Obsidian RPG Avowed is “targeting 30 FPS,” according to the game’s art director.
Avowed is the latest game by Obsidian Entertainment, the masterminds behind Pentiment, Grounded, and Fallout: New Vegas. It is a brand-new action role-playing game set in the same world as Pillars of Eternity, where players explore the familiar world of Eora. While still in development, Game Director Carrie Patel took part in an interview at Gamescom 2024 with IGN where she spoke about Avowed's endings. So far, the Avowed possible endings have reached the double digits, giving the game plenty of replayability, especially for the completionists.
Avowed has more than ten different endings, according to developer Obsidian.
The amount of possible endings for Obsidian's upcoming RPG Avowed is in the double digits, game director Carrie Patel has revealed.
Microsoft has announced that Xbox console exclusive Avowed has been delayed until early next year.
The upcoming Xbox exclusive has seemingly been delayed from a 2024 release window to 2025, but as unfortunate as the postponement might seem, this is one scenario where the delay could be especially helpful. As the next RPG from acclaimed developer Obsidian Entertainment, returns to the unique fantasy world of the games and shakes things up with a new story and first-person perspective. It seems like an obvious choice for fans of titles like and Obsidian's, making it a potentially strong addition to the Xbox catalog.
The Verge's Tom Warren has just shared in a paywalled report that Avowed, Obsidian's action roleplaying game, might be about to get delayed from Fall 2024 to early 2025.
Once upon a time, Obsidian's upcoming Skyrim-esque (but definitely not Skyrim) RPG Avowed was set to have multiplayer. You'd have been able to jaunt about Eora with a pal or two before the studio realised that, hang on a sec, that's not a very Obsidian thing to do.
