While Intel has been proudly showing off its Lunar Lake mobile processors at IFA this week, news on its latest desktop chips, codenamed Arrow Lake, has been relatively quiet. Acer, however, has released a promotional video showing off its Predator Orion 7000 gaming PC, complete with Intel Arrow Lake CPUs.
Rumours persist that Intel may be looking to carve off pieces of itself in order to withstand the storm it currently finds itself within. Amid reports that an action plan is imminent, it appears that Qualcomm may be moving around in its periphery, eyeing up potential acquisitions—including Intel's chip design business.

There's a brand name that comes up fairly often on flight sim forums when discussions turn to controllers, and it's VKB. Its modular approach to flight sim peripherals means you can swap in and out various bases, grips, throttle controls and add-ons to create a plethora of potential flight controllers, and as a result, it's a company that has become highly regarded among those who take this sort of thing seriously. Microsoft's Recall feature was, I think it's fair to say, not entirely well received. The idea that Windows 11 would take screenshots of your desktop regularly to provide you with a searchable history might have seemed useful to some, but privacy and security concerns meant Microsoft had to backtrack pretty quickly.
