Palworld Player Ends Up With Giant Anubis

Another player has ended up with a giant Pal in Palworld, specifically an enormous Anubis. One of the series' iconic Pals, the creature in question isn't an Alpha or Lucky Pal. The cause of its giant stature is a mystery, most likely caused by a random glitch in Palworld.

Palworld is a creature collector in Early Access that mixes in survival mechanics. Along with building a base and collecting resources, certain Pals can be found at sizes larger than normal. These are either Alpha Pals, which are overpowered, legendary beasts, or Lucky Pals, which always have the Lucky trait. Alpha Pals are hard to catch in Palworld but come with increased stats and unique attacks. Lucky Pals are hard to find and can be hard to catch depending on the species.

Reddit user Trollmadolol920, however, has shown off yet another giant-sized Pal that isn't an Alpha or a Lucky Pal in Palworld. The Anubis in question towers over the Breeding Farm it's working at. Typically, Anubis is the same height as the player's character. Commenters in the thread wonder if the height seems bigger due to how the screenshot was taken or if the Pal is standing on something that may boost the height. However, nothing is apparent that would cause the height to increase.

Similar to Palworld's giant Penking, a player obtaining a giant Anubis is most likely caused by a bug. There isn't any known trigger for the bug, but other Pals have grown larger than they typically are. It's not game-breaking, but it can cause confusion when trying to find Lucky Pals in the base since they are now the same size.

Unlike the Palworld bug that caused Arsox to become giant and see-through, Anubis is still fully solid in the screenshot provided. With multiple instances of Pals becoming giant-sized, the effect could be a future game mechanic that unintentionally ended up turned on in certain instances. There are statues of giant Pals, such as the Anubis statue in the desert, that could be potential Easter eggs pointing players
