Palworld Lets You Catch Human NPCs With Its Version of Poke Balls

In addition to letting players capture the adorable creatures known as Pals, Palworld allows gamers to nab human NPCs as well. The new open-world adventure game from developer Pocketpair has only just launched in early access, but its already drawing plenty of attention and developing a considerable fan base. Within days of its premiere, Palworld marked a notable Steam concurrent player milestone, and it seems to be continuing to build momentum.

Having seen initial success, Palworld looks to have passed an important early access hurdle with its quick jump in users. Now it will be up to Pocketpair to roll out updates and deliver content to keep the growing community engaged and coming back. It remains to be seen if this adventure game will challenge the likes of Pokemon among fans of exploring, battling, and capturing cute critters. So far, however, it seems that Palworld is delivering enough surprises to keep gamers excited.

While exploring Palworld recently, streamer Coney discovered that it ispossible to capture human NPCs with Pal Spheres, the game's equivalent of Poke Balls. In the video which he later shared on Twitter, Coney appears to throw the sphere at a human combatant as a joke, not expecting anything to happen. The look on his face when it actually leads to a capture shows just how stunned he was that it actually worked. Indeed, Coney takes a moment after the event to simply stare at the screen and marvel at the possibilities.

Coney went on to add that these captured NPCs can also be sold for considerable money. This could make grabbing NPCs not just an amusing gimmick, but a legitimate way to increase one's income in a hurry. Newcomers to the game are already figuring out how to catch Palworld's Pals. Now, it's likely that many will be seeking to translate these skills for use against the game's many human foes as well.
