Palworld: All Pal Types & Weaknesses

In , there are nine different types of Pals, all with different typings and weaknesses. Some Pals can have multiple types, which should be considered when forming your party. Every type, with the exception of Fire- and the Neutral-type, has one strength and one weakness that will determine how they perform in combat.

Players have been comparing and from day one; in this case, the two are very similar. has the advantage of numbers with a running total of nineteen different types, ten more than in. However, current typing keeps things easier to remember, with each type having one clear advantage and disadvantage.

The chart in the image shows the typing system in the Survival Guide, a sort of beginner's guide for in the options menu, but it might need a second look to fully understand how it works. The thing to understand is what the arrows mean. For instance, Electric-types have an arrow pointing to Water, meaning it is most effective against Water-types. Water is effective against Fire-types, the arrow pointing from it to the Fire symbol. With this in mind, the following table lists the strengths and weaknesses:

A type will do double damage if it is effective against another Pal's type, while it will do half damage against a Pal it is weak to.

Fire has a clear advantage for combat in this system, given that it is effective against two types instead of one. This makes Foxparks one of the best early Pals for combat. Meanwhile, the Neutral-type has a clear disadvantage with no strength at all. It is better to keep your Neutral Pals in your base working at home instead of being dedicated to combat encounters. Some Pals like Incineram have dual types, which means they might have two strengths and two weaknesses, but this is not always the case.
