Old School RuneScape Officially Brings Back Slayer Partners and Updates Character Customization Options

Recently, the Old School RuneScape team announced that they wereplanning a return of Slayer Partners. The feature is back now,  with some improvements and a few guardrails, in the latest update, which also improves some other features.

The update improves some of the makeover interfaces, introducing improved character customization options. Not only can you change your character's body type freely, you can optionally choose a specific pronoun in the settings menu. With these changes, all  hairstyles and facial hairstyles can be used in either body type.

With today’s ban on Deathmatching going into effect, that has been added to the report options. There are additional improvements stemming from Poll 82,  including flexibility in swapping certain items to the offhand slot, and a Big Search option for the Tempoross rewards pool.

If you already have a task, you can't get a partner until you finish it because of  this change.

Stay within 30 tiles of one another in the same world and you both get the Slayer Kill Count credit in most cases, except for a solo instanced boss task.  When you complete tasks like this, you each have to kill at least 20% of the required monsters to be credited for completion. Points are also distributed by
