NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Sees Steady Decline In Prices Globally, Slowly Falling Back To MSRP

NVIDIA's flagship Ada Lovelace GPU, the GeForce RTX 4090, has seen a decent drop in pricing as the global supply chains reach a steady level.

NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4090 Prices Start Falling After Reaching The Skies, As Supply Chain Gets Free From Uncertainties

The top-tier Ada Lovelace SKU saw a tremendous rise in pricing during the previous quarter, which was mainly associated with how NVIDIA saw the US-China fiasco, where the GeForce RTX 4090 received an export ban, causing a shortage not just in Chinese markets but global ones as well. That led to NVIDIA releasing a revised GeForce RTX 4090D GPU for China which despite its release still saw consumers showing interest in the original card. We reported how Chinese sellers were profiting by selling such GPUs here.

In November 2023, the GPU almost hit the $2000 mark in the US, with high-end variants even exceeding the barrier, which ultimately made it difficult to acquire the GPU due to its inflated prices and low stock availability.

However, it seems like things have settled at the moment, as data posted by 3DCenter discloses that the pricing of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4090 is witnessing a steady drop, specifically in Germany, where the average retail pricing is within the €1850- €1950, which is almost a 3% to 5% drop from the previous month. The price drop has particularly taken pace since January 2024, and based on the current trends, it looks like we might see some variants of the GeForce RTX 4090 retailing for a decent price, but still above the €1,799 MSRP.

Well, the pricing levels in Europe show that things are improving when it comes to the overall Ada Lovelace pricing since we have seen mid-tier variants such as the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti getting discounted as well. Over at Newegg, we are finally seeing the GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs now falling to $1899 US.
