No Man’s Sky ORBITAL Update Introduces a Ship Editor, Overhauls Space Stations

A new No Man's Sky update is launching today, introducing a much-requested feature alongside a complete overhaul of Space Stations and more.

Among the biggest additions included in the ORBITAL update is the aforementioned overhaul of the Space Stations system. Until now, it was the only element in the game not procedurally generated, but engine improvements now allow for an overhaul with the introduction of vast interior and exterior spaces with improved reflections and metallic surfaces. Following the update, Space Stations exteriors are at a never-seen-before scale with great variety, while interiors are bigger, procedurally generated, and diverse, featuring multiple shops and activities.

Thanks to this editor, players can customize their ships and create never-before-seen starship types, which can be created with components salvaged from wrecks and ruins. In addition, the ORBITAL update also introduces a new Guild system, the ability to send a frigate fleet on missions, and more. You can learn more about the new update's additions on the game's official website.
