Nintendo Gives Update on the 10 Best-Selling Switch Games

Nintendo has revealed updated sales numbers for the 10 best-selling Switch games of all time. The Nintendo Switch has been a massive sales success for Nintendo, with the home console/handheld hybrid passing 141 million units sold worldwide. With the Nintendo Switch having such a massive fanbase, it's no surprise that the console is home to some incredibly successful Nintendo software as well.

Ultimate at 34.22 million, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at 31.85 million, Super Mario Odyssey at 27.96 million, Pokemon Sword and Shield at 26.27 million, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet at 24.92 million, Super Mario Party at 20.66 million, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at 20.61 million, and finally, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe at 17.45 million units sold as of May 2024.

Future financial reports from Nintendo will likely shake things up a bit. It's entirely possible Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will eventually overtake Pokemon Sword and Shield, and it seems highly likely that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will eventually take Super Mario Party's spot.

What remains unclear is if any new game will ever crack the top 10. As it stands, Nintendo is starting to wind down its work on the Switch, having finally
