New Starfield Mod Ramps Up the Difficulty

A Nexus Mods user has created a Starfield mod called “The Deep End” that significantly increases the game's difficulty with each new NG+ loop. This Starfield mod offers a new level of challenge that pushes players to their limits.

Starfield is an action role-playing game released in 2023 by Bethesda Game Studios. Set in a space-themed environment, Starfield has become one of Bethesda's most immersive games. Players embark on a journey across the galaxy as part of a team of explorers. The Starfield community has created several diverse mods that enhance various aspects of the game. These mods include improvements to gameplay features and user interface, as well as Reshades, Responsive Grabbing, and helpful mods that provide players with access to a wide range of Starfield materials for crafting. These additions expand the ways in which fans can approach and enjoy the game.

Created by NexusMods user youngneil1, The Deep End mod introduces a significant challenge to Starfield by progressively increasing difficulty across New Game Plus loops, reaching up to NG+100. Unlike Starfield's base difficulty, which caps at NG+10 with a 10% increase in damage received, The Deep End ramps up ground combat damage by 25% and ship damage by 10% per loop. This escalation aims to force players to adapt and strategize more intensely as they face ever-tougher adversaries, creating a challenging experience.

Moreover, The Deep End mod extends the damage escalation beyond NG+10, continuing to intensify damage received. Ground combat damage, EM/Shield damage, and explosive damage all culminate in 25 times the damage received at NG+100. This heightened vulnerability transforms even minor threats into significant challenges, adding tension to both ground and ship combat scenarios.

To install The Deep End mod, players need to first enable Archive Invalidation in their mod manager. Next, they should install the Plugins Enabler tool and download the mod. After unzipping the file, they should
