New Dragonflight Dark Heart Cinematic Sets Up the Quest in Dragonflight's Closing Chapter

The next content update, Dark Heart, is coming to World of Warcraft on May 7th. Blizzard has released a new in-game cinematic to whet your appetite and details on the update. This also comes as The War Within alpha enters its next phase.

In the cinematic, we see Khadgar and Jaina discussing the Radiant Song now being heard all around Azeroth, before she leaves to continue their work. Khadgar is then joined by Alleria Windrunner, who he asks for help. “We still don't know what this Dark Heart relic is capable of,” he says just that it’s being held by someone named «the Harbinger». Alleria then agrees to help and to not just help, but to hunt down the Harbinger and return with the Dark Heart. Alleria will join you in this new content update, where you’ll find yourself facing Xal’atath, Harbinger of the Void in this final Dragonflight chapter that will set upThe War Within.

There’s other content to look forward to as they wrap things up for the Dragonflight era. There will be new questlines, some new Heritage Armor sets for draenei and trolls, and even access to all Dragonflight quests for max level characters regardless of Renown. 

As for The War Within, the expansion is coming later this year, and began its alpha test phase recently. This week, the alpha opened up phase 3, with additional content available along with a number of changes. 

Now available in the alpha test are levels 75-78, new questlines in Hallowfall that feature Anduin and Alleria, an expanded Warbands feature, and more. Warbands testing now includes currency and achievement points, along with recent changes. There are two new dungeons accessible, The Dawnbreaker and Priory of the Sacred Flame, and more.
