Marvel Studios Confirms Two Disney+ Shows Speculated to be Canceled are Still On Track

Brad Winderbaum, head of streaming at Marvel Studios, recently addressed rumors that two Disney+ series,Ironheart and Wonder Man, had been quietly canceled.

Marvel Studios has been making significant strides in expanding its universe beyond the silver screen, with projects like Ironheart and Wonder Man in the works. However, these Disney+ series have been the subject of speculation regarding their production status. Ironheart commenced filming in 2022 but faced delays and was ultimately removed from the release schedule. Similarly, Wonder Man was announced in June 2022 but soon encountered rumors suggesting it might not move forward.

However, Winderbaum recently provided reassuring news during a conversation with Agents of Fandom. While Winderbaum did not disclose specific release dates, his confirmation that the shows are progressing through the post-production process has brought relief to some fans.

Ironheart, starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, is a series created by Chinaka Hodge based on the Marvel character originally developed by Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato. Thorne first portrayed Williams in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where she was introduced as a tech prodigy who manages to replicate Iron Man's technology and is allowed to keep it. The series features an impressive ensemble cast, including Manny Montana, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, and Alden Ehrenreich, with rumors suggesting that Sacha Baron Cohen will also make his MCU debut in the series.

Wonder Man, on the other hand, will follow the story of Simon Williams, a movie star turned superhero, portrayed by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Abdul-Mateen II, known for his role as Black
