Larian Is Preparing To Finally Step Away From Baldur's Gate 3

For over seven years, has been a source of ongoing work for developer Larian Studios, but the studio finally appears to be leaving it behind for good. Although the game released in August 2023, the need for bug fixes and a commitment to adding features and improving weak points resulted in a long series of post-launch patches. This level of ongoing support was never going to last forever, and Larian's transition away from the game may be imminent.

As reported by , Larian CEO Swen Vincke implied that the update currently in the works could be the last big one that the studio offers.
