Kojima Productions confirms Death Stranding 2 panel for TGS

Kojima Productions is set to hold a special stage event for Death Stranding 2 at next month’s Tokyo Game Show, it’s announced.

The Death Stranding 2: On the Beach stage event will feature a panel including director Hideo Kojima, special guest Daichi Miura, with appearances by Kenjiro Tsuda, Nana Mizuki, Tomokazu Sugita, Shion Wakayama, and Nicolas Winding Refn.

The panel is set to take place on Sunday, September 29 at 10:30 JST / 6:30 BST. It’s currently unclear if the panel will be streamed on the internet.

Death Stranding 2 was announced in December 2022 with a reveal trailer at The Game Awards. A reveal trailer confirmed that Norman Reedus will be returning, as well as Léa Seydoux, who played the character Fragile in the first game. Troy Baker will also star.

Speaking on stage after the trailer premiered, Kojima said he wasn’t ready to reveal more details about the game yet, but teased: “I put a lot of things inside [the trailer] so I want you guys to talk about it and find details in it.”

Kojima Productions then announced last year that it has teamed up with A24 to bring a live-action film adaptation of Death Stranding to the big screen.
