Intel Believes Korean Firms Are Going To Play a Huge Role In The Future of AI Markets, Categorizing Them As a Core Of The Firm's Vision

NVIDIA's competitors seem bothered by the firm's massive success in the industry. Among them is Intel, which has expressed the intention of dethroning NVIDIA from the very top. A few months ago, we saw Intel's CEO Pat Gelsinger say that the entire industry has united to battle against NVIDIA's dominance over the markets through its CUDA ecosystem. He noted that NVIDIA's current fame is a "moat" and that it won't remain consistent in the future.

Now, Intel's Senior Vice President of Intel's Data Center and AI Group, Justin Hotard, claims that Intel has envisioned creating an "open ecosystem" that will allow them to support the entire AI market and hopefully eliminate a monopoly over the industry.

This statement was given at the Intel AI Summit Seoul 2024, organized in South Korea for the first time. Justin also reiterated the firm's commitment to establishing close relationships with Korean companies such as Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, claiming that they will play a vital role in the future of the markets. The firm showed huge optimism for the future of the AI markets, saying that the technology will mold the vision of every other company to ensure that they are paying the right attention to AI.

This might hint towards the fact that Intel might see South Korea as an opportunity in such times because its arch-rival NVIDIA has sided with Taiwan. While we are not saying that the companies are engaged in regional biases, Team Blue is fond of business with South Korean firms, such as SK hynix, which has supplied HBM memory for the firm's Gaudi accelerators.
