Intel Confirms Arrow Lake-S, Arrow Lake-HX, Arrow Lake-H CPUs On Track For Q4 Launch For Desktop & Laptop PCs

Intel confirmed that its next-gen Arrow Lake-S, Arrow Lake-HX & Arrow Lake-H CPUs for desktops and laptops are on track for Q4 2024 launch.

Intel Arrow Lake CPUs Are Headed To Desktops & Laptops With A Hard Launch Planned For Q4 2024

Intel seems to be accelerating its own desktop and laptop roadmap with Lunar Lake CPUs shipping out in the coming quarter (Q3) as we reported here and Arrow Lake, the more performance-geared chips, heading for a Q4 2024 launch, targeting both desktop and laptop PCs.

During its preview, Intel shared some details regarding Arrow Lake CPUs which will come in Arrow Lake-S, Arrow Lake-HX, and Arrow Lake-H flavors. According to the blue team, the Arrow Lake CPUs will be rolling out in Q4 2024 with a proper debut expected to happen during Computex 2024 that is just a few weeks away.

In the preview, Intel gave a brief teaser of its next-gen Arrow Lake-S "Core Ultra 200" Desktop CPU and the die we are looking at confirms that the package will be once again a monolithic design but will house several tiles. The tiles include the CPU, GPU, SOC & IO tiles. The biggest tiles are the CPU & SOC ones which are the large rectangular one at the bottom and the square one in the middle. It also features a dummy tile which is also featured on the Lunar Lake CPU.

From what we can tell, the Intel Arrow Lake-S CPU die shown here is an 8+16 design with 8 P-Cores based on the Lion Cove core architecture and a total of 16 E-Cores based on the Skymont design. It should also be packing at least four Low-Power Crestmont E-Cores on the SOC Tile. the GPU tile has at least 2 or 4 Xe-cores based on the Xe-LPG "Alchemist" graphics architecture.

Intel is expected to launch at least 13 SKUs under its Arrow Lake-S "Core Ultra 200" CPU line. These will include the top unlocked "K" series chips such as the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K, and the Core Ultra 5
