However, an emerging tech hub in India has decided to step into the race, with a domestic automotive firm, Ola, announcing the company's first AI chip to aid with the self-driving process. Ola's CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, claims that it is vital for India to explore the AI segment instead of relying on third-party alternatives. While the company didn't disclose its lineup of AI chips extensively, it did showcase a few offerings, which include the Bodhi series of AI chips, along with the Sarv-1 cloud-native CPUs and the Ojas edge AI chip. Starting with the Bodhi-1 AI chip, Ola claims that this particular piece of tech is designed for large-scale LLMs and targets inferencing workloads.
