Incredible Battlefield Vietnam-Inspired Portal Mode Almost Looks Like The Real Deal

A fan-favorite setting for a war FPS has been realized in Battlefield 2042 with a player designing a custom game mode modeled after Vietnam. The Vietnam-inspired map is available via Battlefield 2042's Portal game mode and can be used for multiplayer matches.

The Battlefield Portal mode, a part of Battlefield 2042, enables players to tweak gameplay presets and create custom multiplayer game modes with their own weapons, vehicles, maps, and more and share them with the community. In the comments, several players praised OP's Vietnam-inspired mode while criticizing the developer's underwhelming support for Portal, which arguably holds the potential for paving the way for more such custom modes. A user called the Portal mode «a missed opportunity» and further added, «The concept and mode is awesome but EA/DICE is not giving it the updates it deserves.»
