The score given to your gear in showcases your character's total strength based on the equipment you've collected during various adventures. Also known as your Character Equipment Rating, this mechanic can be considered your overall level. New activities and challenges in different Realms with a high difficulty level are easier to approach once you have increased your gear score.
The gear score is one of the many hidden features of that you may not notice at first as you collect new items. This Rating is calculated by taking the average score of all the gear your character has equipped. This includes everything in the slots labeled Hat, Gear, Back, Top, Bottom, Glove, Shoe, and whatever items your character carries in either hand.
The only way to raise your character's Equipment Rating is to craft or find better gear throughout different Realms. In the first stages of your adventure, you'll have to scrounge around for low-level items that only increase your gear score by small amounts.
