How To Get All Permanent Favors In Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Forgotten Saga

Rewards known as Permanent Favors in 's DLC all provide Odin with different buffs you can get for your next run. The rogue-like adventure throughout Niflheim has different regions that all offer a favor for you to earn. The powers granted by these permanent boons are limited, so you'll have to use them wisely as you continue to try and resurrect Odin's son.

Most Favors you can buy from vendors during a run will reset upon your death before you begin a new playthrough. However, any of the four availablePermanent Favors remain even if you do perish against a tough enemy or boss like Hel in . The powers or abilities applied to Odin from lingering boons are usually powerful tools that let you strongly start new runs.

The tools you normally start with during a run are completely randomized, which can make it difficult to form reliable strategies. Take advantage of Permanent Favors to give Odin a foundation to work with before leaving camp for another attempt.

The first Permanent Favor you can collect is called Summoned Courage from the quest you can acquire early in. In an icy Kaldstat cavern, Odin must interact with a sword to trigger a boss fight against Skjaldmaer, a fierce headless warrior. Your goal here will be to restore this former shieldmaiden's body by defeating her in battle multiple times over more than one run.

According to YouTube creator Gaming with Abyss, you need to beat Skjaldmaerfour times to complete the quest in. Once their body returns, the warrior Hervor will become whole again, but this enemy becomes harder to face each time as they regain more limbs.

Thankfully, this quest is fairly close to the beginning of the DLC, so you won't have to travel far to face Skjaldmaer in battle. The Favor is the reward for finishing this quest and gives Odin the ability to respawn at half health upon death instead of being sent back to camp. This is a great way to keep fighting during intense battles, but you may only use this ability once per run in .
