How To Find (& Produce) Fuel In Once Human

In fuel is an extremely valuable resource needed by Meta-humans to survive the harsh world. Portable Mixed Fuel and occasional crafting recipes are needed for your vehicles, such as the motorcycle. The Barreled Premium Fuel is even more valuable, needed for larger vehicles like your pickup truck and semi, and for crafting higher-level weapons for end-game content.

Portable Mixed Fuel can be scavenged from cars across the continent, and Barreled Premium Fuel can be earned through public events called workshops. With strategic base placement, you can even extract Crude Oil and produce fuel yourself. Here are the best ways to obtain fuel in.

One of the most important crafting materials you can farm in Once Human is Acid, a component for making gunpowder and creating ammo for weapons.

Traveling across Nalcott, players will notice abandoned vehicles along the sides of the road. While not all vehicles are lootable, most can be opened to find Portable Mixed Fuel and supplies. Pay attention while exploring, especially along dirt roads, and make sure to stop and collect fuel regularly.

Vehicles in Settlements and Hamlets are never lootable, even if they look like ones you can loot along the road. When in doubt, use your Q snap, as those containing fuel will glow white.

As a general rule of thumb, cars with an in-tact trunk will contain fuel and other items. Cars that appear burned, wrecked, or otherwise gutted cannot be looted. Occasionally, you may pass by a pickup or military truck with a crate inside, but this will contain standard supplies, not fuel.

The next way to find fuel is to participate in the Workshop events, which yield Stardust Source, Cortexes, and Barreled Premium Fuel. These events require players to use an Extraction Permit to start the event using a tower defense mechanic.
