The easiest way to charge your Joy-Cons is to attach them to your Switch and plug your console into a power outlet. It will take about 3 1/2 hours to charge your controllers fully, which will provide you with 20 hours of play time. Step 2: Ensure the Switch’s dock or AC adapter is plugged into a power outlet. Either connect the adapter’s plug to the USB-C port on the bottom of the Switch or place the Switch in the dock.
