How To Beat Sierra In Pokémon GO (May 2024)

Team GO leader Sierra is back again to challenge even skilled players in May 2024. The Team GO Rocket Leaders, Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff, provide some of the toughest tests in and if you don't plan ahead, they can quickly beat you. Like her fellow Leaders, Sierra chooses three out of seven Pokémon in each battle for May 2024. She includes a wide variety of Pokémon, meaning you need to pick the right team to have a chance of victory.

Her team is made up of Shadow Pokémon, which are all stronger and have a greater CP than their normal variants. Team GO Boss Giovanni also returns in May 2024, and you will need to beat all three Leaders, including Sierra if you want to challenge him. You can find Sierra in Balloons and PokéStops if you have beaten six Rocket Grunts. This includes the toughest Rocket Grunt Ke Ke Ke Ke, with each Grunt rewarding you one part of the Rocket Radar needed to face a Leader.

In recent months Sierra has led with Ground-type, Shadow Trapinch and she will do so once again in May 2024. Regardless of which other Pokémon she chooses to face you with, Trapinch will always be your first opponent, so it is wise to pick something that is super-effective against it. Like the other Team GO Rocket Leaders, her second and third choices will be one of three Pokémon, that will change in each battle.

Her former lead Pokémon, Dark- and Ghost-type Sableye, is now one of Sierra's possible second wave, along with Dark- and Flying-type Honchkrow and Water-type Milotic. Her final choice will come from the same three options as last month and will be either Dark- and Fire-type Houndoom, Grass- and Poison-type Victreebel, or Psychic-type Alakazam.
