Automaton enemies you have to beat during missions of come in many shapes and sizes, including Scout Striders who ride in bipedal walking tanks. The best strategy for defeating Scout Striders is to target the Troopers on their backs or to destroy the walker's legs to hinder its movement. The rapid rate of fire from this enemy can make it difficult to distract during intense moment-to-moment combat. Unless you are teamed up with your friends in 's co-op multiplayer, you may not have a chance to shoot at a Strider freely.

Thankfully, your character can sprint and avoid a Scout Strider before the Automaton controlling it can turn and face you. Quickly moving past a walker should let you get a few shots against the Trooper sitting on its back, which is considered the weak point of this particular enemy. Use whatever weapons or Stratagems you have at your disposal to target this spot as often as possible.
