Honkai: Star Rail - Aventurine Character Ascension (& Materials)

Farming the right materials for Aventurine’s Ascension in is the first step in optimizing the character as a damage mitigator in team comps. Aventurine is a 5-star Imaginary unit that follows the Path of Preservation. Like all characters on that Path, Aventurine is responsible for protecting his teammates and lowering the amount of damage they receive. He does so in the most traditional way of all: granting them shields. Unlike other shielders, however, the new character in 2.1 has an exclusive mechanic related to his shields.

In fact, Aventurine is a very aggressive shielder. When an enemy attacks an ally shielded by him, Aventurine gets stacks of Blind Bet and, after gaining 7 copies, he launches a powerful follow-up attack. Another important part of his kit is his Ultimate. Aventurine’s Ultimate is an Imaginary DMG attack that applies Unnerved on a target opponent. This enemy will be debuffed and will receive increased CRIT DMG. Not only does he shield, but he also acts as a support, setting the ground for main DPS heroes, such as Acheron in , to destroy the opposition.

Before putting his abilities to good use, however, you will need to farm the appropriate materials for Aventurine’s Ascension, as this will allow you to take him to level 80 and unlock all of his gameplay skills. Because of Aventurine’s release in Phase 2 of Version 2.1, all of his materials can be pre-farmed before his actual arrival in the game. While he does use a brand new set of items from Version 2.1 in his Trace-leveling process, the rest of Aventurine’s materials are old, and dedicated players will likely have some of these saved up in their inventories.
