Helldivers 2 Recent Update Quietly Added Tough New Enemies

The latest update for Helldivers 2 has sneakily added new enemies, including four-legged colossal machines. Recently, Helldivers 2 released its second major update, bringing several gameplay modifiers and bumping up the level cap from 50 to 150. The top-down shooter game has introduced balance changes, including the SG-8S Slugger shotgun nerf, which has sparked debate among players.

Since the game's launch, Arrowhead has rolled out updates for Helldivers 2 to tackle the most serious issues that hindered the player's experience. The studio has expanded the server capacity multiple times in order to handle more concurrent users at once. After establishing a solid foundation, the developers have shifted to releasing content updates that should keep players engaged in the top-down shooter for a while. As it turned out, one of these updates secretly introduced new enemies to the Automaton faction, including terrifying beasts that look similar to AT-AT walkers from the Star Wars universe.

Helldivers 2 players have spotted new enemies, Factory Striders and Gunships, that were secretly added to the game in the latest update. Factory Striders are gigantic battle machines that deploy Devastator bots and deal massive damage using laser turrets. It's quite a challenge for players to tear these gigantic walkers into pieces, since they are equipped with a heavy shield and multiple cannons.

Gunships, on the other hand, are flying battle stations that fire rockets and energy rounds at players from the sky. As with Factory Striders, they require weapons with armor penetration to dish out damage. According to some players, they are hard to deal with when other tough enemies like Hulks and Tanks keep dropping in non-stop. One thing to note is that both Gunships and Factory Striders belong to the robotic Automaton faction in Helldivers 2.

Helldivers 2 pits players against some heavy-duty enemies, such as Stalkers and Bile Titans, that can sometimes be very frustrating to deal with.
