Helldivers 2 Gets Two New Weapons That Look Seriously OP

The war for Super Earth just got even more exciting as announced that two new weapons will soon be available for all players. In the ongoing campaigns to wipe out both the Terminids and the Automatons, Helldivers are equipped with a small arsenal of death-dealing tools: From small handguns all the way to two-man heavy cannons, the firearms on offer are usually enough to wipe out a small army of foes. Fortunately, everyone's options are about to become even more varied with a couple of new guns that look like they'll absolutely devastate the enemy.

Posted to X (formerly Twitter) by the official account, players will soon have access to the LAS-99 Quasar Canon and the MG-101 Heavy Machine Gun, both of which have been approved for immediate distribution by the fictional Ministry of Defence.

Specific breakdowns on their stats are still unknown but both can be summoned into battle with an unlockable Stratagem, serving as the third equippable weapon. In any case, both weapons look gigantic and will likely pack a massive punch, hopefully even taking down something as massive as a Bile Titan.

Footage of 's new weapons is still scarce given that they've only just been released but some players have been lucky enough to use the LAS-99 and the MG-101. The former is a shoulder-mounted heavy weapon that fires a charged laser shot at an immense speed. While it may take a moment to build up the necessary energy, the resulting round explodes on impact and deals a huge amount of damage to anything it hits while also seemingly dishing out a small area-of-effect blast.
