Grounded II: The Making of The Last of Us Part 2 Documentary Announced

Naughty Dog has released a new trailer for an upcoming behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of The Last of Us Part II.

Titled Grounded II: Making The Last of Us Part II, the documentary serves as a sequel to 2014’s Grounded: The Making of The Last of Us. The studio hasn’t shared a release date for the doc just yet, but don’t plan on being able to watch it alongside the release of The Last of Us Part 2: Remastered when it drops on January 19. The current plan is to release it as part of a post-launch update.

The two minute trailer features development footage going all the way back to 2016 and even focuses on some of the not-so-fun parts of game development, like when a massive leak spoils significant plot details before the game’s release. Game director Neil Druckmann also offers his own insights into the development of the game.

The Last of Us Part 2: Remastered arrives on January 19 on PlayStation 5. No announcement has been made at this time for a PC version. The game includes a new roguelike mode called No Return, unfinished ‘Lost Levels’ featuring developer commentary, graphics upgrades, Guitar Free Play mode, and more.
