God of War Ragnarok PC Port Announcement Is Imminent, Leaker Claims

The God of War Ragnarok PC port announcement is imminent, a reliable leaker has said. Their information indicates that God of War Ragnarok could mark an unprecedentedly short gap between the release of a first-party Sony game and its PC port.

Since starting its multi-platform publishing push in 2020, Sony has generally waited at least two years before bringing its new AAA releases from PlayStation to PC. The fastest one to make that jump so far was Days Gone, which was released for the PS4 in April 2019 before finding itself on Steam come May 2021.

The other way in which the company could double down on its multi-platform bet would be to start porting PlayStation console exclusives to PC at an even quicker pace. If the God of War Ragnarok PC port announcement is indeed imminent, that may already be happening.

In the meantime, Sony's next big PC release, Ghost of Tsushima, is scheduled to reach Steam next Thursday, May 16. The company may want to wait to confirm the PC version of God of War Ragnarok until after that launch to avoid overshadowing Sucker Punch Productions' celebrated open-world action adventure. And
