Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut Releases on PC, Becomes Sony's 4th Biggest Launch on the Platform

The long awaited PC release of Ghost of Tsushima is finally here.

Despite controversy surrounding Sony’s policy of requiring a PlayStation Network account link on PC for the game’s Legends co-op mode and subsequent delisting in over 180 countries lacking access to PSN, it’s soared to the top of Steam’s top selling list and became Sony’s fourth biggest launch on PC with over 57,000 concurrent users at its peak.

The Sucker Punch developed game was originally released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 back in 2020 and quickly racked up awards for its satisfying combat, wonderful visuals, and captivating narrative.

Later, Sucker Punch released Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, free a multiplayer co-op experience that features a story arc playable in two player co-op, four player survival mode, and even a three chapter raid. Player can select between four different classes in Legends, including the Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, and Assassin. These characters can be customized via a skill tree as well as gear.

Ghost of Tsushima: Directors Cut includes the various enhancements made with the game’s re-release on PlayStation 5 in 2021, along with new PC specific additions such as advanced graphics settings, ultrawide support, and image upscaling and frame generation technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3.
