Gex Trilogy gets a new trailer

A new trailer for Gex Trilogy has been released.

The collection, which consists of all three Gex console games, will be released by Limited Run games.

While the collection has still to receive a release date, the trailer does confirm that pre-orders will start in fall 2024.

Developed by Crystal Dynamics, the platform game series starring the titular anthropomorphic gecko called Gex comprised of three releases: 1995’s Gex, 1998’s Gex: Enter the Gecko and 1999’s Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko.

The games are being brought to Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam using Limited Run Games’ Carbon Engine, a development tool that helps create emulation-based ports of classic games for modern hardware.

In 2022, a demo for what may have been planned as a Gex sequel surfaced online. The Gex Jr demo, which was posted to YouTube by user justz00t, was added to Archive.org by someone who found it on an old CD-R.

According to the user who posted the demo to the archival website, the CD-R it was found on was dated January 25, 2001.
