GeForce Evangelist Shows Horizon Forbidden West Running on an RTX 4080 Super in Full 4K at 80FPS With DLAA

Guerrilla's Horizon Forbidden West is a pretty game, even more so on PC. Here's the game running in full 4K resolution with well over 60FPS on an NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super.

The gameplay video of Forbidden West was shared on YouTube by known GeForce evangelist Jacob Freeman and highlights how great the PC version looks on a powerful system. You can check out the gameplay video below. As said, it shows Guerrilla's Zero Dawn sequel running on a GeForce RTX 4080 super at 80FPS with NVIDIA's Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing tech (DLAA).

The PC version from developer Nixxes has received several patches since its release and the Dutch developer has confirmed that the team is working to add support for AMD FSR 3.

Horizon Forbidden West is available worldwide now for PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. The complete edition includes the Burning Shores expansion which is only available on PC and PS5. Wonder what we thought about the PC port ourselves? We've included a paragraph from our article on the PC version below:

"That's not the case here at all. Despite the vast and highly detailed open world featured in Horizon Forbidden West, stuttering is nearly non-existent, and powerful rigs can focus on turning on all the graphics settings without worrying too much about performance. Personally, with my RTX 4090 GPU, I went with a combination of DLSS Frame Generation and DLAA to achieve maximum visual fidelity while keeping an average of over 70 frames per second (and consistent frame times) at 4K with maxed settings.

When I reviewed the game on PlayStation 5, one of my few complaints was directed to the aliasing that plagued the Performance mode. Guerrilla Games has thoroughly improved this area on PS5 through various patches, but the PC version still easily takes the cake when it comes to visual clarity when DLAA is enabled."
