Gamescom Asia announces first exhibitors and speakers

Gamescom Asia has announced the first round of exhibitors and speakers for its 2024 show.

Gamescom Asia will be hosted in Singapore from 17 – 20 October, with a business and public exhibition, an industry conference, and several programmes for the public. The event expects over 150 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors.

VGC is a media partner of Gamescom Asia and will be covering the event from Singapore.

Notably, Capcom is the first major publisher to confirm its participation in the show’s B2C entertainment area. In addition to a variety of hands-on demos for upcoming games, Capcom will hold its official Street Fighter 6 tournament, Capcom Pro Tour 2024 Super Premier Singapore.

The GCL group will also exhibit, with titles including JDM: Japanese Drift Master, Terratech Worlds, First Dwarf, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

Headlining the business conference of Gamescom Asia is former PlayStation executive Shawn Layden, who will participate in a fireside chat discussing insights and predictions about the games industry.

“We are excited to be part of the evolving status of Southeast Asia as a key market in the games industry,” commented Daria La Valle, Project Director at Koelnmesse, organiser of Gamescom Asia.

“The region is really showing its potential for growth, and with the continued support we’ve had over the years, plus key industry leaders joining us this year, it’s clear that gaming in the region is on a promising path.

“Additionally, gamescom asia is uniquely positioned as a bridge for gamers who seek a direct connection to their favourite games and their creators.”
