Galaxy S24 Series Continues To Witness Higher Demand Than Galaxy S23, With A 13 Percent Rise In Display Shipments For A 5-Month Period

Samsung announced its Galaxy S24 slightly earlier on January 17, with pre-orders commencing on the same day. A slew of effective strategies has allowed the Korean giant to garner more shipments from its latest flagship series than the previous Galaxy S23 family. According to the latest data, for the 5 months that started in November, the newer models have witnessed a 13 percent uptick in panel shipments, signaling that these handsets are more coveted by customers worldwide.

Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy S24 Ultra made up the bulk of those panel shipments, with a 46 percent market share

Ever since the Galaxy S24 lineup’s inception, Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) has revealed in its latest data that Samsung’s latest offerings have outpaced its direct predecessors, with the new models running laps around the Galaxy S22 range. In January 2024, the Galaxy S24 family saw panel shipments that were 21 percent higher than the Galaxy S23 and a whopping 66 percent higher than the Galaxy S22. The refinements made to the latest smartphones have impressed customers to the point that they want to pursue an upgrade.

To sweeten the deal, Samsung also provided some pre-orders and extra credit to those wanting to become early adopters of the Galaxy S24 series, so that might have also played a hand in bumping up those panel shipments. For March, DSCC reports that display shipments were 13 percent higher than the Galaxy S23 and an impressive 47 percent higher than the Galaxy S22.
